Do you think there is any possibility of this getting updated to run with conky 1.9.0? I have been going through and manually trying to update the .conkyrc files so that they work with the new syntax, and I am getting them to work, but they are all kinds of messed up visually. Things are completely overlapping other things, the sizing is wrong. I think some of the sizing syntax must have changed as well, but I don't know enough about conky to completely rewrite these into the new verison, I just know the new version does not use the object notation. You no longer have the "conky.config = {..." and then having everything be "background=true" would now just be "background yes". Like I said, I am definitely not good enough to visually repair them, just to switch the .conkyrc file to the new syntax. So.... whadya think, any chance of getting this updated? I am in love with the themes and the amount of work you put in is astounding, and I would really love to be able to use them. Thank you.

Uff... People, read the  README file; everything is explained in it.

Conky version 1.9.x is the old version, and is supported in the sense that you can download the older version of this conky. Version 1.10.x is the current version and is also supported.

My apologies, I have downloaded conky, but it shows 1.9 as the current release, I guess I will try to find where I can get conky 1.10

Do you have any intentions in making this work with Conky 1.10?

Your conky theme looks brilliant! However I have some troubles running it correctly - each of your themes has some visual issues - how can I solve them?

Dear Zagortenay,

First of all, I want you to note that I took the effort to sign up for deviant art so that I could give you some feedback on the instructions you provide with your otherwise goodlooking conky themes.

Which they are: nice looking Conky Themes. You probably are a good designer, with many a creative skill. Maybe you can also cook a nice meal? Sing a proper song? Do a little dance? Many of these creative types have a plethora of talents, and I'm guessing you are one of them.

There are talents you lack, however, such as writing a proper instruction. The simple fact is, that many of the people trying to use your themes are perfectly able to read your instructions. They probably follow them by the letter. These instructions, however are lacking, both from the perspective of information as well as the instruction part itself.

Let me give you an example: why don't you notify your potential users of the conky version your themes will work under? I'm sure there is more information you can give them. I am sure you can do better, or else someone else to do it for you.

This is in no way a means to get into a fight with you; as a matter of fact, posting this comment is the last thing I'll do on this page.

I wish you the best of luck!

Kindest regards,

HS

As far as I can see the README covers everything. You are gonna have to be a bit more specific. The version number is the first thing that is explained: github.com/zagortenay333/Harma…

Please help! Conky works properly (black & white window) when the .conkyrc isn't in ~. But when I copy one of the .conkyrc files to ~  (and run Conky again) it doesn't work. In the terminal it is shown:

Conky: /home/jorge/.conkyrc: 1: no such configuration: 'conky.config'
Conky: /home/jorge/.conkyrc: 3: no such configuration: '-------------------------------------'
Conky: /home/jorge/.conkyrc: 4: no such configuration: '--'

.....
....
....

Conky: /home/jorge/.conkyrc: 251: no such configuration: ']]'
Conky: missing text block in configuration; exiting
***** Imlib2 Developer Warning ***** :
This program is calling the Imlib call:

imlib_context_free();

With the parameter:

context

being NULL. Please fix your program.

I tried to write TEXT after the "template" info, but it still doesn't work.

The .harmattan-assets folder is in  ~. I'm using Conky 1.9.0~4.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Sorry if I made a huge mistake but I've been several days trying to fix it and I can't yet. I'd like you to tell me what I'm doing wrong in order to learn and be able to fix it. Thank you very much. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

EDIT: I finally realized that I was using the version to Conky 1.10 while mine is 1.9. I downloaded  Conky Harmattan to 1.9 and everything worked perfectly. Thanks and congratulations for the widget, I love it.

I fixed the alignment issue by changing this line on the text
Day Names
${color3}${voffset 185}  {from voffset172}
And just to put in more detail ia m running linux mint 17.3 cinnamon and using conky in god mode

You can't report a bug like that ffs. I need information like the terminal output, what version of conky you have, whether you have read the info on github, whether you have read the existing issues on github, etc..

Hey there, nice conky! I have a question though, my theme (transparent God mode) is cut off between CPU and MEM and it doesn't resize when I edit the conky file. Sorry if the solution is obvious but I am a linux user since 5 hours now :)

If you're editing the conf file yourself, then you're gonna have to fix these things yourself too. It's a rather clumsy thing and takes a while to align right.

Hi, there - thanks for the cool theme! Really looks beautiful and also is very ergonomic.

One question (or maybe the suggestion):
The 'full' form factor shows the memory load graph and list of processes with max memory usage (if I uderstand correctly:) ). Is this possible to display the cpu load (both graph and top processes list)? I'm in general more cncerned by cpu usage than memory consuption.
Maybe this is a quick hack in .conkyrc?
