The new one gives me some problems with the images. It doesn't show any although I installed JQ
One question (or maybe the suggestion):
The 'full' form factor shows the memory load graph and list of processes with max memory usage (if I uderstand correctly
Maybe this is a quick hack in .conkyrc?
Look for the top variable
What's up with all those links?
looks pretty awesome
Thanks for great job well done!
i set this up but was wondering how i add battery status?

thanks!
** also sorry about the multiple comments. this is my first time posting on this.
why have in god mode mem and mem% instead of cpu info?
heres how that section should be IMO
pastebin.com/ggceYPsd
you wanna see those cpu spikes when something runs, but you will no doubt have good overview over browser and whatnot eating RAM
Also whole thing with compact, comfortable and mini... its very nice but theres huge focus on being "weather app"
Whole PC monitoring stuff is cut out right on the first minimization, but theres actual increase in weather info (sunrise, sunset)
I think theres a place for a less-god-mode, but not yet comfortable, or what comfortable might be.
Graphs are cut away, cpu, mem, uptive, those single graphs are cut too.
But processes (cpu version) and download/upload are kept. As those two things really tell you quite a lot
like this
The reason that there is a focus on it being a weather app is because that's exactly what it is supposed to be. (Even the name alludes to weather.) God-mode is something I added for fun after I finished the design, and also because I knew that most people would want something that deviates from a mere weather app. Any additional concepts are courtesy of tweakers. Among other reasons, this conky was made to promote tweaks and such stuff.
As for the mem/mem% thingy, I think the reason I did is because I simply wanted to have 3 rows of info in the last section. With cpu I couldn't get that, while mixing cpu and mem wouldn't work because of the first row with the process name. It's super easy to edit, so it ain't a big deal.
Personally I'd prefer memory if anything. If something starts eating cpu like crazy, you'll be able to tell by the total cpu usage graph (or the cooling fan XD). On the other hand, tracking memory usage can be a bit more.. I guess "subtle" is the word.
But there can be mixing of cpu and ram usage accompanied by the name of the process and I believe it works very well, meaning that the cpu/ram values will corrspond to the process name even with jumping up down..
heres pastebin of the two variations, the initial top or top_mem are defining by what attribute items are ordered first, before plucking the name or some value out of them.
But as you said, its easy to edit
I first had memory, but that hardly ever changed and after few days it felt not that much of a use, so I switched to having cpu as the ordering attribute.
Not that it would show some shocking info, but occasionally looking there when I had lag.. I saw what was the cause
heres my version

I'm currently trying to use it ArchLinux and I get Network Disconnected instead of the information corresponding to my network. Is there any way to solve it ? Thanks.
If possible I would like to add some information, but I do not know what I need to modify in the conky.conf.
I would like to see CPU + Processors. Can see the processor consumption for ech processor and global consumption.
In memory add swap memory and add a section where I can see the filesystem mounted to see the free space.
Can you help me to add this information?
Thanks in advance!
I cannot find this so called "troubleshoot file" you say has the solution.
Google tells me to download compiz-setting-manager or whatever and I cannot use that fix without enabling the window effects and breaking my whole desktop.
Switching to override turns the conky black after awhile as it slowly layers over itself and is hardly readable.
This is an awesome conky but I want to get rid of that shadow!
Is there a tool for messing with the Unity graphic effects or something I'm missing?
Where is this "Troubleshooting" File?
Compiz is the culprit; it draws the shadows on all windows. Since conky is set to act as a normal window, it too gets a shadow. You need to set an exception for it in ccsm.
Not sure what you mean by having to enable window animations though. As far as I remember, all you need to do is go to the window-decorations section. There are a few entries there for shadows and such.
You can set it easily from ".conkyrc". Change own_window_type from "normal" to "override". It will eliminate the shadow from a opened window.
zagortenay333, great work. Huge fans of this conky, LOVE it!
A request though, i can't find a way to change the border to become square. I'm using paper theme, snwh.org/paper/. Trying to make it blend it. Please guide me through. Thanks
But I have an issue: screenshot
I haven't changed anything in the file. I tried with the "voffset" but I don't understand how they work !
As far as I know, only way to solve it is to edit the voffsets yourself.
If you have a voffset at 20, then that line will be moved 20 pixels down away from the line above it. First set the top line in place, then work your way down.
God-Mode is quite complicated, so try it with the mini-mode ´till you get the hang of it.
