Ah, so it's by installing the dock. Cairo has way too much configuration. Feels so annoying. What I would need is something really simple. A slick, themeable dock, that doesn't require lotsa configuration.

Been using that. But you can't really change the icons can you? Or perhaps create a folder with launchers, change their icons and then drag them to the dock? Will that work?

If so, do you know any nice icons for the dock? I can't seem to find any good looking despite many efforts.

Honestly your best bet is AWN!It does come with a bunch of customization options but at the same time it is simplistic.It is very balanced so if u don`t want to customize it u really don`t have to.Changing icons on it is as simple as right clicking->change icon.As far as icons goes you can go into my favourites folder!Any icon set i found good i favourited!Hope i helped!
P.S. I think it is possible to create folders with launchers in docky!Also if you wanna use docky use plank!It is the elementary dock which is based on docky!See my luna OS screenshot to see how it looks like in action!
