Gnome Shell-Bauraturia by zagortenay333 Gnome Shell-Bauraturia by zagortenay333
I will not continue work on this theme anymore! If you wish to upgrade it to Gnome Shell 3.10 you are more then welcome to!Please pm me before you do so that multiple people donīt start working on the same thing!!!

The dark and mean Bauraturia theme now for Gnome-Shell 3.8 as well! :)

The amazing NoobsLab team has been so kind to provide a ppa for my themes!!!

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bauraturia-set

This theme comes with support for the awesome GnoMenu Extension by Panacea Projects!( Screenshot / Extension)

This theme also provides stylesheets for the following extensions:

-Frippery Bottom Panel (Screenshot / Extension)

-System Monitor (Screenshot / Extension)

-Text Translator (Screenshot / Extension)

-Workspace Bar (Screenshot / Extension)

-Workspace Indicator (Screenshot / Extension)

-Sticky Notes (Screenshot / Extension)

-Task Bar (Screenshot / Extension)

-Workspace Grid (Screenshot / Extension)

-Transmission Deamon (Screenshot / Extension)

-Weather (Screenshot / Extension)

Applying Styles:

With the exception of the "GnoMenu" extension,in order to apply these styles, you will have to manually open their directories and get rid of the "stylesheet.css" files inside!
The default directory for extensions is ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions
The best way to get rid of them is to rename them (for example: "stylesheet.css" ---> "#stylesheet.css").
That way if you want to change your gnome-shell theme you can return to this folder and uncomment these files so that the extension can be displayed again under the new theme!

I also recommend you apply the Bauraturia theme to your "screen-shield" / "login-screen" as well!
In order to do that install the theme into /usr/share/themes.
Now head over to this site and install the "GDM3 settings" tool:

More Bauraturia goddies:

-Bauraturia cinnamon theme:…

-Bauraturia conky:…

-Spectro conky with Bauraturia theme:…

Update 30.09.2013:

Various fixes to overview and popups!

Various improvements in "gnome-shell.css" file!

Improved OSD notifications.

Salute :)

Is it possible to get a version/update that works with Cinnamon? I don't mean for the cinnamon-only elements, I mean so it's possible to have a matching GTK theme for the Cinnamon theme. Uniformity, and all that. It probably has the benefit of working with other GTK-based DEs too.

I really like this theme and want to move away from Numix (it's very nice, but I've overused it and I'm bored of it now).

I have no intentions of making GTK themes. That is an un-holly mess right now.
Maybe some day in the distant future when there is a uniformed, simple, easy to make themes for, and stable toolkit...Until then, this is best left to people who either make some money off of making them(ala numix, moka, nitrux...) or for the "special breed" of folks like lassekongo83 who do it only for fun(we are lucky we have these guys still around...).I am neither of these two types so sorry :)

Was just curious if this theme will be updated for Gnome-Shell 3.10?
zagortenay333 Featured By Owner Oct 24, 2013  Hobbyist Interface Designer
Yes.I have gnome-shell on a small partition. However, I got some work to do with cinnamon that is more important.I would have updated this a while ago had there been a distro that comes with it...

Easily one of the best GNOME-Shell themes out there. This is up there with ZukiTwo and Faience.

Goes perfectly with Numix GTK.

Woah thanks!Come to think of it, I only now figured out I use the same wallpaper for my preview as the zukitwo theme doesFacepalm And I was wondering why it looked so familiar Laugh
